Our Purpose
We exist to support one another in living good lives — thoughtfully, honestly, and in the company of others.
We create opportunities for learning, conversation, and shared experience, where people can explore what matters, exchange ideas, and deepen their understanding of life.
We promote a humanist approach to ethics: thinking things through carefully, drawing on evidence and experience, and taking responsibility for how we live.
We aim to contribute positively to our local community, through practical support, charitable activity, and building connections between people. This includes our work in local schools, where we help students learn about humanism as part of their philosophy and ethics education.
We are part of a wider humanist movement, working in partnership with organisations such as Humanists UK, Humanists International, and the National Secular Society.
